Panch Pokhari Trek

The Panch Pokhari trek, which means five lakes, is situated to the north of Kathmandu. This area is in the Langtang National Park and contains a surprising amount of forests and wildlife. From this area you can gain really good views Jugal Himal which is popularly known as “the chain of peaks” including Dorge Lakpa (6966m), Madiya (6257m) and Phurbi Chhyachu (6637m).

Panch pokhari trekking offers an ideal and interesting journey, which gives the experience of lifetime. Panch Pokhari is a religious place for Hindus where the trekkers can see a sheet metal enclosed shrine to Shiva and the two metal roofed houses. A trek in this area involves a lot of climbing on narrow trails.

Trekking Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

Day 02: Kathmandu City Tour

Day 03: Kathmandu to Chautaara (1410m), By Private bus. 4-5 hrs.

Day 04: Chautaara to Syaule

Day 05: Syaula to Kamikharka Dhanda

Day 06: Kamikharka Danda to Chyochyo Danda

Day 07: Chyochyo Danda to Hile Bhanjyang

Day 08: Hile Bhanjyang to Nasem pati (3800m)

Day 09: Nasem Pati to Panch Pokhari (4050m)

Day 10:  Panch Pokhari to Gai Lharka (2530m)

Day 11: Gai Kharka to Yangri (1360m)

Day 12: Yangri to Laghang Gompa (2800m)

Day 13: Laghang Gompa to Tarke Gyang (2590m)

Day 14: Tarke Gyang to Shermathang (2610m)

Day 15: Sermathang to Malemchipui Bazaar (880m)

Day 16: Melamchipul Bazaar to Kathmandu. By Private bus.

Day 17: Transfer to Airport for your onward destination.

The cost USD 1275/ Euro 950/ per person. Only camping trek. Minimum 4 Pax.

  • Kathmandu City Tour with an Experienced Tour Guide (Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan) depends on your time frame.
  • Trekking Registration Certificate (TRC).
