Bardiya, in the western Terai, comprises the largest and most undisturbed wilderness area of the region. Drier and more remote than Chitwan, Bardiya contains the country’s second largest tiger population and daytime sightseeings are more common here. The park provides excellent habitat for the rhino, wild elephant, tiger, swam deer, black buck, gharial crocodile, marsh mugger crocodile, Gangetic dolphin and 200 bird species.
