Seribung Peak "Mustang"

PDF Print E-mail

This recently introduced Peak Expedition is ideal for the explorers those who wish to get off the beaten track. Till date, only a few of climbers have reached to the summit of this Peak. Saribung (6346m) lies in the isolated in Damodar Himal, near Damodarkund, border with Tibet.

This is not; however, a technical climbing though considered to be a challenging expedition due to altitude variation and remoteness of the area. Stretched dry rugged terrain and glacier travel mode for the most part with at the most a couple of sections of fixed line requiring the use of a jumar.

The route initially follows the Upper Mustang Trek to Lo-Manthang and Lury Gompa before heading off into the wilds of Namta Khola Valley. After ascending the peak summit, we trek to Phu Valley in Manang district. The Mustang and Manang both side the region is in restricted area so we need special permit for this Trek (Mustang and nar Phu valley).

There are 2 way to get there. If you want to go throw Mustang it is more nice but if you don't have long time and also want cheaper you can go short way.

You have to book this trip at list 3 months advance.
